Synthetic resin roofing tiles contain flame retardants, giving them superior fire resistance compared to traditional roofing materials. They are classified as Class B1 flame-retardant materials; they are not easily ignited by open flames and extinguish quickly. However, they will deform and melt when exposed to sustained high temperatures from an open flame and are not completely fireproof. Their melting point is approximately 750°C, a temperature rarely reached in typical fire conditions, allowing them to maintain a certain degree of structural integrity.
